Erin Julia Beebe
(MARCH 13, 1996 – APRIL 4, 2022)
Though short in years, an excerpt from Erin's obituary encapsulates her substantial and notable life: "She understood that the journey inward begins early on in life. Her ability to work on herself made her vocational work so much more impactful. Her true beauty was in her incredibly generous heart and her astute mind. An inspiration to her family and friends, she will be missed beyond measure. A line in one of her favorite songs by The Smiths reads, “Oh there is a light and it never goes out”. May we all be warmed and guided by Erin’s eternal light."
Erin was an academic at heart who loved science and was pursuing PhD in neuroscience. We hope that the younger generation will be inspired by Erin just like we have been.
In Erin's memory, Chess for Charity organized a friendly (unrated) Chess Tournament on 21st May, 2022 at Sparta Library, NJ. Over 35 local businesses helped sponsor the event.
All proceeds were donated to the Dept of Neuroscience at Muhlenberg College, where Erin completed her graduation in Neuroscience.
